Episode the Fifteenth, Wherein the Pageist shares her experiences of her first kinky conference and learns how to communicate her filthiest desires using the newest technology.

The book reviewed this episode is Tina Horn's Sexting: The Grownup's Little Book of Sex Tips for Getting Dirty Digitally. It's an excellent, straightforward, all-genders and orientations-inclusive guide to figuring out what you want in the bedroom and how to ask for and get it.

If you're kinky and you've ever wanted to give some communication tips to your vanilla friends--here's the way to do it.

Episode the Thirteenth; Wherein The Pageist discusses power exchange, what it means to her and even figures out what style makes the most sense for her life. (It was extremely obvious--the Pageist can be oblivious.)

The book reviewed is Paradigms of Power: Styles of Master/slave Relationships edited by Raven Kaldera (, which is a collection of essays by people in a variety of power exchange relationships.

Episode the Twelfth wherein the Pageist is glad to be back. She talks about two sexy new maps in her life and two sexy books she's read.

The books reviewed in this episode are Different Loving: The World of Sexual Dominance and Submission by Gloria Brame, William Brame and Jon Jacobs and Different Loving Too: Real People, Real Lives, Real BDSM by Dr Gloria Brame and William Brame.

The first was published in 1993 and was the first book to attempt to show what a wide array of kinksters got up to through interviews, quotes and historical context.

The second was published in 2015 and catches up with some of the original interviewees, but also canvasses newer players about practices and desires. The difference in the scene between the two books is remarkable.

Episode the Tenth; wherein the Pageist invites everyone to her Fetlife group, meets her first human puppy and rethinks her entire philosophy of coming out.

The book reviewed this episode was the mind-expanding Coming Out Like a Porn Star: Essays on Pornography, Protection and Privacy by Jiz Lee, a collection of essays by 57 people involved in various aspects of the porn industry. Contributors ranged from decades-long members of the sex work industry to someone trying to break in and everything in-between. Sexualities and genders also vary widely. The stories are funny, philosophical, heartbreaking, infuriating and hopeful.

Episode the Ninth; Wherein the Pageist deals with some heavy irony and learns who her friends are, passes on some important information to her listeners and reviews books full of pretty paintings of kinky lesbians.

Book reviewed in this episode: Sunstone by Stjepan Sejic (pronounced Stephen). The first four volumes of the comic about Allison and Lisa, two women exploring kink together. One has a little more experience and a great deal of gear. The comics involves both of the women and the people important to their lives.

The series is still ongoing and is free-to-read on DeviantArt here: though I explain on the podcast why you may prefer the physical copies.

Episode the Sixth; in which The Pageist celebrates her first year being kinky, visits her first dungeon and almost envies *the* slave.
This episode's book review is The Slave by Laura Antoniou, the second book in the Marketplace series.
Robin is a successful art buyer who has always been kinky and has always wanted more from her power exchanges than they could offer. A trainer for the Marketplace has mere weeks to get her ready for the biggest sale of the year. Does having a slave heart mean she has what it takes to be in the Marketplace?

Episode the Fifth; in which The Pageist discovers monogamy is neither for the characters in the novel she reads this week nor herself! She also discovers some fun sex toys and receives her first feedback.
This episode's book: A Life Less Monogamous by Cooper S. Beckett. Ryan and Jennifer Lambert are in a rut. A sex-free rut. Then they meet Paige and Bruce Shepard. The Shepard's are vibrant and vital. They're also swingers. They could be just what the Lamberts need to get their spark back. Or their relationship with the Shepards could destroy everything they have.

In the first episode of The Pageist, Paige introduces herself and the concept of the show, explains what a 'pageist' is, and gets straight into her first book review--the contemporary classic, Laura Antoniou's The Marketplace and includes an erotic excerpt. The episode is rounded out with a selection for submissives from Meditations by Marcus Aurelius about mindfulness.
